The Brazilian press is moved by the “ego war” Neymar-Cavani

The “ego war” between Neymar and Edinson Cavani, exacerbated during the match PSG-Lyon (2-0), made the bravado of the Brazilian press, fond of the smallest details on the integration of the Seleçao star in Paris.
In their Monday edition, the dailies devoted most of their articles to the Sunday meeting and the dispute between the two strikers to draw a penalty, finally struck – and missed – by the Uruguayan.
“Neymar and Cavani are fighting again,” headlines for example the newspaper o Dia, recalling a similar incident in the victory against Toulouse (6-2), the first game of the Brazilian under the Parisian colors, on August 20th.
“The result has allowed the Neymar team to remain leading, but what has attracted attention is the disagreement between the Brazilian and Cavani,” observes the daily “O Globo”.
For Lédio Carmona, commentator of Sportv, one of the chains that transmits the Ligue 1 in Brazil, the attacker-star of the Seleçao risks to put his teammates on back if he continues to “play it perso”.
“I think it sends a little shadow on its integration, it shows a facet too individualistic to the group. If other incidents of this type happen, the situation could deteriorate,” the commentator told AFP.
Globoesporte.com goes further, speaking of “ego war” and calling into question the complementarity of the two attackers.
“The affinities in all aspects of Neymar with Messi and Suarez in Barcelona are not in PSG, at least as far as Cavani is concerned, but the results are not in question, but it is clear that these two players do not ‘do not hear well,’ says the site.
On social networks, some Internet users are amused because the two players do not “follow” more on Instagram.
“Neymar posted a photo with Mbappé and stopped following Cavani because of this penalty story. By the way, Neymar is 25,” said @ piqu3sident (Lionel Messi) on Twitter.
