Spaniard Rafael Nadal, world No. 1, withdrew from the London Masters, last tournament of the season, after his defeat 7-6 (7/5), 6-7 (4/7), 6-4 face to Belgian David Goffin for his entry in the running.
“I tried the best I could, I had a commitment, to this tournament, to myself, but it would not have made sense to continue,” said the player, injured on one knee . “It was already a miracle” to play this game, he said.
