Mugabe told the president of South Africa that he is being detained

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe told his South African counterpart Jacob Zuma on Wednesday by telephone that he was being held by the army, which took control of the capital of his country, South African authorities said.

“President Zuma spoke today [Wednesday] with President Robert Mugabe, who told him he was detained at his home, but added that he was fine,” according to a statement from the South African presidency.
